Sugar Nil® provides the benefit of Sucralose. Sucralose is an artificial sweetener. Sucralose is a Zero – calorie sweetener derived from natural sources. Sucralose is approximately 600 times as sweet as sucrose (table sugar), twice as sweet as saccharin, and 3.3 times as sweet as aspartame.
Excessive consumption of Sucrose (Sugar) increases the sugar level in the blood which is harmful for diabetic patients. Also, oral bacteria, in dental plaque, metabolize sucrose into lactic acid. High concentration of acid results in demineralization of tooth and thus results in tooth decay.
Sucrose provides 3.94 kcal/g of energy. Thus, it also results in increase in weight. To prevent all the side effects of sucrose, without compromising on the sweetness, it is essential to substitute with the naturally derived sweeteners.
